Synopsis

Following the First World War, Quebec's Malbaie region was engulfed in a wave of modernity: telephone, electricity, cars and other technology that changed the world were finally introduced. These social changes set the background for Rose-Anna's story. Follow the story of this widow and mother of three, who works non-stop to make ends meet, and her suitor, the widower Joseph-Arthur. A true visual jewel in our television heritage, this series traces the experiences of mythic characters living in a time of great social upheaval.
