Introducing CBC News Explore, our free channel for streaming audiences
CBC News Explore is a free 24/7 streaming news channel, offering audiences a new way to explore CBC News. This new stream is available on a growing number of digital and connected TV platforms including CBC Gem, the CBC News App, CBCNews.ca and The Roku Channel (channel 105 in Canada), with more to be added soon. CBC NEWS NETWORK remains CBC's 24-hour premium service for live-and-breaking news, available through cable and satellite providers and on CBC Gem.
As traditional streaming options get more expensive, new free options have been emerging in Canada. These new FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) options aim to attract viewers to a new digital content environment, such as CBC NEWS EXPLORE.
